Hongkong or Hong Kong?
How do you spell it?
The right answer is that the name of the autonomous territory south to Mainland China is spelled Hong Kong, not Hongkong.
The government of Hong Kong adopted the current form in 1926. Nevertheless, a number of century-old institutions still retain the single-word form, such as the Hongkong Post, Hongkong Electric and the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.
